Glenda M. Hernández's journey from her roots in Puerto Rico to her current standing as a respected legal professional is a testament to her resilience, determination, and commitment to justice. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Glenda grew up in Carolina, spending her formative years navigating the challenges of family and embracing the support of her mother, Margarita Alicea Monserrate, a dedicated registered nurse.

Glenda's educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence and lifelong learning. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in English at Hunter College, CUNY, Glenda pursued her passion for law at Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Touro College. During her time at law school, Glenda distinguished herself as a Co-Editor of the Arts and Entertainment Law Newsletter, Vice-President of the Latin American Law Students’ Association, and a Teaching Assistant in Legal Writing and Contracts. Her exceptional contributions to the quality of student life earned her recognition with an award for exemplary service.

Legal Career: Glenda's legal journey began at Rodman and Campbell, PC, where she specialized in adoption law, facilitating over 10 adoptions. She then served in various capacities within the New York State Supreme Court, honing her skills in legal research, writing, and case management.

Transitioning to advocacy, Glenda founded GM Hernandez Law, PLLC, passionately representing clients in administrative hearings, estate planning, and landlord-tenant disputes. Her commitment to community service led her to engage in pro bono work and advocate for tenants' rights.

As Supervisor Attorney at The Urban Justice Center, Glenda continued to champion justice by representing tenants in housing court cases, ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the support they deserve.
